Sr. Demand Planning Analyst - Spectrum Brands (Middleton, WI) in Madison, Wisconsin For Sale
The position is responsible for managing the statistically generated forecast in SAP and utilizing continuous improvement methods to revise parameters to steadily improve accuracy for multiple NA divisions. This position is also responsible for facilitating the new item forecast working with Sales, Marketing and SC. Responsibilities include producing key reporting in alignment with the S&OP process. The nature of this position requires the ability to adapt to changing business needs and produce quality output often under tight timelines.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Model the Spectrum Brands eight Core Capabilities to achieve service excellence, meet and exceed organizational objectives and support fiscal responsibility
- Under the direction of the Sr. Director, manage the statistical forecasts:
- Oversee the execution statistical modeling software
- Review resulting statistical forecast model
- Apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting
- Measure and communicate accuracy at an ABC level
- Facilitate new item forecasts in partnership with Sales & Marketing:
- Measure and report forecast accuracy
- Facilitate monthly cross-functional discussion
- Achieve consensus for operational demand forecasts by facilitating a collaborative planning process with sales, marketing and finance personnel
- Prepare relevant material to facilitate research and discussion
- Provide input to budgeting and Rev process in APO in alignment with corporate timelines.
- Lead the demand planning system and software
- Enter and modify data and ensure the correctness of product hierarchy, customer re-alignments, POS load
- Recommend system enhancements to improve results
- Oversee batch job execution and cube reporting results
- Prepare and publish defined reports pertaining to demand planning/ S&OP process.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PROFILE
- Four to five plus years of experience in the role
- BA/BS college degree required, MBA preferred
